THE YOUTH AND SPORTING ACTIVITIES

There are 3 grass-pitch stadiums, 6 sports centers, 11 football pitches, and 2 tennis courts in the province. Furthermore, there is an Olympic swimming pool in Kutahya, which has always been popular with the youth of the city. The Dumlupinar Stadium, which is in the city centre, has 12000 spectators capacity. The rest of the stadiums have 10500 spectators capacity. Moreover, the spectators’ capacities of sports centers are 4500.
There are 124 active sports clubs in the province where 6683 licensed sportsmen and women do 37 different kinds of sports. Founded in 1996 Kutahyaspor is the only professional sports club in the province.

The Youth Centre was opened to help young people to fill up their spare time with social, cultural and sporting activities in the city center. This center encourages the development of good habits and promotes sports and sportsmanship.
